Getting started

Yes. Every new tutor account starts on a 14-day free trial with the full Pro feature set, and no credit card is needed to begin. We email you 4 days and again 1 day before it ends. If you have not chosen a plan by then you get 3 more days of grace, after which the account pauses until you subscribe. Nothing is deleted while it is paused.

Most tutors are up and running in under 10 minutes. Set your availability, invite your first student, and you're ready to teach. Our onboarding guide walks you through each step.

Yes. Students import from a CSV file, and you map your own column headings to Teamlilit fields rather than reformatting the file. A dry run shows you exactly what will be created before anything is saved. Your curriculum can arrive the same way, as a JSON or CSV program file that generates all the sessions for you.

Teamlilit runs in any modern browser, including Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge, on desktop, laptop and tablet. You can also add it to your home screen on iOS, Android or desktop and open it like an app, with no app store involved. For teaching we recommend a laptop or desktop, and students can join from any device.

Pricing & plans

Yes. You can upgrade, downgrade or cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. There are no lock-in periods and no cancellation fees. If you cancel, you keep access until the end of your current billing cycle.

You will be reminded 4 days and 1 day before the end, and again on the day itself. After that you have a 3-day grace period to pick a plan. If you still have not chosen one, the account is paused: your students, sessions, notes and invoices all stay exactly where they are, and everything comes back the moment you subscribe.

Yes. The Academy plan is built for organisations: it includes 4 staff seats, lets 4 lessons run at the same time and pools storage across the team, with shared student records and admin oversight. Extra seats can be added on top. If you have a larger team or specific needs, contact us and we'll work something out.

Yes. Plans take add-ons instead of forcing a jump to the next tier: extra storage in 10 GB steps, an extra concurrent session on Pro and Academy, an extra staff seat on Academy, extra AI credits, and unlimited retention for recordings. Add-ons stack on top of your plan and can be removed again.

Live classroom

Solo includes 2 people in a session, which is you and one student, so it is one-to-one only. Pro allows up to 25 people in a session and Academy up to 100, both counting you. Group sessions need Pro or Academy. Up to 3 students at a time can be on stage with camera and microphone, and everyone else watches and listens until you swap them in. All plans include full video, audio, whiteboard and screen sharing.

Not to attend. From inside a lesson you can copy a single-use link or email it, and the student joins by typing a display name. The link is tied to that lesson and expires with it. Guests are listeners: they see and hear you and follow the board read-only, but they cannot speak, share a camera, chat or draw. For that a student needs a free account and an invitation on stage from you, and they can create the account from inside the room without losing their place.

The maximum length follows your plan: 2 hours on Solo, 3 hours on Pro and 4 hours on Academy. Solo and Pro run one session at a time. Academy runs up to 4 in parallel, one per staff seat, and an extra concurrent session is available as an add-on on Pro and Academy.

Yes. The lesson board is live for everyone. A lesson can hold several boards, plus text pages and uploaded files as tabs, and the host decides which tab everyone is looking at. Students can draw, insert equations and plot graphs while you have them on stage. Text pages and uploaded files are shown to the class but stay read-only, so to mark up a worksheet, place it on the canvas as an image instead.

Session recording is available on the Pro and Academy plans. Recordings are stored securely and play back from your dashboard, and the whiteboard is captured too when the board is on screen. Pro keeps recordings for 30 days and Academy for 90, and an add-on removes the time limit.

Scheduling & sync

Yes. Connect your Google account and the sessions you schedule in Teamlilit are written to your Google Calendar automatically, then updated or removed there when you reschedule or cancel. The sync runs one way, from Teamlilit to Google, so the availability students book against is the one you set inside Teamlilit rather than whatever else is on your calendar.

Yes. You publish your availability and students book the slots you have opened from your public page. Confirmation and reminder emails go out to both of you automatically, with no back-and-forth needed. That page also carries a short question form, so someone who is not ready to book can ask first and land in your list as an enquiry.

Yes. You control the cancellation window, whether students may reschedule themselves and how late they can do it, a no-show grace period, how much lateness counts as late, how much notice a booking needs, a buffer between lessons and a maximum number of lessons per day. The defaults are sensible to start with: a 24-hour cancellation window and student rescheduling switched on.

Every booking is checked against your existing sessions and against that student's, and a clash is refused, including when two requests arrive at the same moment. The check covers people rather than places: Teamlilit does not manage physical classrooms, venues or room bookings.

Teamlilit emails a reminder to you and to your student about 24 hours before a lesson, and again about an hour before. They are sent automatically, and by email only: there is no SMS or WhatsApp anywhere in Teamlilit. The timing is fixed rather than something you configure.

Students & parents

As many as you like. The student list is unlimited on every plan, because plans limit how many people can be in one live session, not how many students you keep. Each student has a profile with contact details, guardians, tags, their own hourly rate, lesson history, attendance, notes and files, and you can compare students side by side.

Yes. You can share a private link that shows a parent, for each of their children, the recent lessons with attendance and duration and the invoices addressed to them. No account and no password are needed. The link is read-only: parents cannot book, cancel, message or pay through it.

Yes. Select the students you want on your student list and send one email to all of them, up to 200 at a time. Each person receives their own copy, so no student sees another family's address, replies come back to your own inbox, and the send is logged on every student record. This is email only, since Teamlilit has no SMS or WhatsApp.

Your public booking page carries a short question form that anyone can use without an account. A submission arrives as a new enquiry in your list with their message, so you can reply and turn it into a first lesson. It captures the question; it does not book a slot on its own.

Invoicing & payments

From the teaching you have already done. Teamlilit knows who attended each session and for how long, so an invoice is raised from real lesson time at each student's own rate rather than typed out again. You can invoice one student in a click, or a whole class or tag in bulk, and every invoice exports as a PDF and can be emailed with the PDF attached.

Directly, and never through Teamlilit. We are not in the money flow and never touch your fees. Your own bank details or payment link are printed on the invoice and in the email that carries it, the student or parent pays you, and you record the payment when it lands, which marks the invoice paid or leaves it overdue. Overdue invoices can add a late fee on their own.

You can switch on a tax profile with your rate and registration number, choose whether your prices include or exclude tax, and override it for a particular student. The settings are copied onto each invoice as it is issued, so changing them later never rewrites invoices you have already sent.

Yes. Set a monthly schedule per student and Teamlilit prepares the invoice as a draft each period. Drafts are never issued or emailed on their own: you review one and release it. Families can be billed on a single consolidated invoice, and credit notes, account credit, statements and sibling discounts are all supported.

AI

After a lesson it can transcribe what was said and draft the wrap-up for you: a summary, session notes and a set of suggested exercises. Inside the notes editor it can also rewrite, shorten or expand a passage you select. Automatic quiz generation and automatic marking are not built yet.

No. An AI draft is a draft. Nothing goes to a student until you have read it, edited what you want to change and sent it yourself, and each wrap-up records that you approved it. The AI is there to give you a head start, not to teach in your name.

Two steps, and only when you run a wrap-up. Nothing is processed unless you ask for it. First the lesson audio is turned into text by our transcription provider, and as soon as that succeeds the audio file is deleted from our storage. We keep the transcript, not the audio, and it sits in your account where you can read or delete it. Then the transcript is processed by open-weight models running on GPUs inside our own EU infrastructure, one drafting the wrap-up and a second critiquing it, so no third-party AI vendor ever receives your transcript. We chose to run our own models rather than call a commercial model API, because those send data to the vendor's servers, often outside the EU.

No. Your lessons, transcripts, recordings, notes and student records are never used to train AI models, neither ours nor a provider's, and we do not sell, licence or share them for that purpose. The only thing that leaves our infrastructure is lesson audio sent for transcription, under API terms that do not permit training on submitted data, and it is deleted from our storage as soon as it has been transcribed. The generation step never leaves our own infrastructure at all.

In credits, and every plan includes a monthly allowance: roughly 6 hours of lesson audio on Solo, 25 hours on Pro and 60 hours on Academy. Inline edits in the notes editor are billed the same way, by the amount of text involved. If you run out, credits can be topped up as an add-on on any plan.

Data & security

Teamlilit is built and run by Amar FILALI, trading as Teamlilit, as a sole trader. There is no holding company, no parent group and no outside investors, so you are dealing directly with the person who writes the software. Sales go through Paddle as Merchant of Record, which is why Paddle and not Teamlilit appears on your card statement. Full company and contact details are on our trust page.

On European infrastructure. Teamlilit runs on DigitalOcean in its Frankfurt and Amsterdam regions, so your data and your students' data is stored in the EU, and the live video runs on servers we host and operate ourselves rather than a third-party video vendor. One honest caveat: DigitalOcean is a US company, so EU region placement is not the same thing as full EU sovereignty. Our trust page explains exactly what that does and does not mean.

You can use an email address and password, or sign in with Google or Microsoft. Verifying your email is not needed to explore the product, but it is required before Teamlilit sends anything on your behalf, such as student invitations, emailed lesson links and invoices. Unverified accounts are also limited to one live session at a time.

Solo includes 2 GB, Pro 10 GB and Academy 50 GB, shared across the whole team on Academy. That covers the files you upload to programs and student records, chat attachments and whiteboard assets. You can add 10 GB at a time whenever you need more.

Only a teacher can start a recording, and every participant sees an indicator while one is running. The file is stored in our EU object storage on a private bucket and is reachable only from the account that made it, not by other tutors on the same team. How long it stays depends on the plan: Solo has no recording, Pro keeps recordings 30 days and Academy keeps them 90 days, with an unlimited retention add-on available. A scheduled job deletes expired files automatically, so treat the window as a ceiling and download anything you want to keep.

You do, without qualification. Lesson materials, exercises, whiteboard exports, session notes, uploaded files and recordings stay yours, and the AI wrap-ups generated from your lessons are yours too. The only rights you grant us are the ones needed to run the service: storing your files, sending them to the students you share them with, generating previews and keeping backups. We do not use your teaching content in marketing, do not show it to other tutors and do not train models on it. Delete your account and that licence ends with it.

Yes, yourself, without asking us and without a fee. One request in your account settings returns a single JSON document with your profile, students, lessons, invoices, session notes and AI wrap-ups. Your student list also exports to CSV, invoices are standard PDFs and recordings are ordinary video files. The export keeps working even after you have requested account deletion and are inside the grace period, because that is when you need it most. Each collection in the JSON is capped at 5,000 records and names anything it truncated, so you never get a silently shortened file.

Deliberately easy. Students leave as CSV, curriculum programs as JSON or CSV, invoices as PDFs and recordings as video files, so there is no proprietary format to unpick, no export fee and no retention call to sit through. What no format carries across is the structure linking those pieces, such as which invoice covers which sessions. The JSON export preserves those relationships so they can be rebuilt, but no competitor imports that format directly today. That is true of every platform in this category, and it is not a lock we built.

You can request deletion from your settings. There is a 30-day window in which the account can still be recovered, and after that the data is permanently removed. An active paid subscription has to be cancelled first, so nothing is deleted while you are still being billed.

A fair question for a product run by a small team, and the answer is a commitment rather than a promise of survival. If Teamlilit ever winds down we will give at least 90 days' notice by email to every active account, keep the full data export working for that whole period, bill nothing beyond the shutdown date and refund prepaid time, and never hand your data to a third party as a business asset without telling you first. The export already works today and works without us, so run it once rather than waiting for a notice.

Yes, on request. Write to support@teamlilit.com and we will send a GDPR Article 28 DPA for signature. It records the roles that already apply: for your students' personal data you are the controller and Teamlilit is the processor acting on your instructions, while for your own account and billing data Teamlilit is the controller. Our full sub-processor list is published on the trust page, and we give notice before it changes. If you have a procurement process, we will also complete your security questionnaire.
