Cookies Policy

Last updated: June 22, 2026

This Cookies Policy explains how Teamlilit uses cookies and similar technologies, such as local storage, when you visit our website or use our app. It describes what these technologies are, which ones we use, why we use them, and how you can control them. For more on how we handle personal data, see our [Privacy Policy](/privacy).

1. What Are Cookies and Local Storage

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, to remember your preferences, and to provide information to the site owner.

Local storage is a similar technology built into your browser. It lets a website save small amounts of data on your device so it can remember things like your theme choice or where you were in a task. Unlike cookies, local storage is not sent back to the server with every request.

We use the word 'cookies' in this policy as a general term that also covers local storage and similar browser technologies.

2. How We Use Cookies

We use these technologies to keep you signed in, to remember your settings, to keep the service secure, and to understand how the product is used so we can improve it. We do not use cookies for advertising, and we do not sell data collected through cookies.

We group the cookies we use into three categories: essential, functional, and analytics. Each is described below.

3. Essential Cookies

These cookies are necessary for the website and app to work. They cannot be switched off in our systems, because without them core features such as signing in and keeping your session secure would not function.

Authentication and session: when you sign in, we set a secure session cookie (for example, a session token managed by our authentication system) so you stay signed in as you move between pages. These are removed when you sign out or when the session expires.

Security: we use cookies and request data to help protect your account, detect suspicious activity, and prevent fraud.

Because these cookies are strictly necessary to provide a service you have asked for, they do not require consent under most privacy laws.

4. Functional Cookies and Local Storage

These remember choices you make so the product works the way you expect. They are not strictly required, but turning them off can make parts of the experience less convenient.

Preferences: we store settings such as your selected theme (light or dark) and your language so the app looks and reads the way you left it.

App state: we use local storage to remember things like onboarding progress, your last sign-in method, and short-lived information that helps a task continue smoothly (for example, a booking you started).

Payments: when you start a checkout or manage a subscription, our payment provider Paddle may set cookies needed to process the payment securely and to prevent fraud. These are only set when you use a payment or checkout feature. See Paddle's privacy policy for details.

5. Analytics Cookies

When enabled, we use a privacy-focused product analytics tool, PostHog, to understand how people use Teamlilit, such as which features are used and where people run into difficulty. This helps us prioritize improvements and fix problems.

PostHog may set cookies or use local storage to recognize a returning browser and group activity into sessions. We use this only to measure and improve our own product. We do not use it for advertising and we do not sell this data.

If analytics are not enabled for your session, these cookies are not set. You can also limit analytics using your browser controls described below. See PostHog's privacy policy for details.

6. Third Parties That May Set Cookies

Some cookies are set by the trusted providers we use to run the service, rather than by Teamlilit directly:

Paddle: our payment processor and Merchant of Record, for secure checkout and subscription management.

PostHog: product analytics, when enabled, to help us understand and improve how the product is used.

These providers process data under their own privacy policies and only in connection with the features they support. We do not allow them to use cookies set through Teamlilit for advertising.

7. How to Control Cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you see what cookies are stored, delete them individually or all at once, and block cookies from some or all sites.

Please note that essential cookies are required for the service to work. If you block or delete them, you may not be able to sign in or use core features, and some preferences may be lost.

Browser help pages explain how to manage cookies in Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Microsoft Edge. To clear local storage, use the same clear browsing data tools in your browser.

You can also revoke access to optional integrations, such as a connected Google account, from your Teamlilit account settings.

8. Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a 'Do Not Track' signal. There is no common industry standard for how sites should respond to it, so we do not currently change our behavior based on this signal. You can still control cookies using the browser tools described above.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookies Policy as our product and the technologies we use change. We will revise the date at the top of this page when we do, and for material changes we will provide additional notice where appropriate.

10. Contact
