Where the dates come from

Every date comes from an official source, named under the calendar with the day we read it. A period that is not published yet is marked as such, never guessed.

United Kingdom: The bank holidays of England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, with their substitute days, from GOV.UK. School terms are set by each local authority, so they are not on it.
United States: The 11 federal holidays, with the day off when one falls on a weekend, even when that day is in the year before (a Saturday New Year's Day is observed on 31 December). State holidays and school district calendars are not on it.
France: The 11 public holidays of the Labour Code, plus Good Friday and St Stephen's Day in Alsace-Moselle, and the school holidays of zones A, B and C from the Ministry of Education's calendar, for 2026-2027 and 2027-2028.
Germany: The nine holidays kept across Germany and each state's own (Epiphany, Corpus Christi, Reformation Day, All Saints' Day...); those kept in part of a state only are marked "teilweise". The school holidays of all 16 states from the Kultusministerkonferenz, for 2026/2027 and 2027/2028.
Spain: The national and regional holidays of the list the Dirección General de Trabajo publishes in the BOE, for each autonomous community, Ceuta and Melilla; the two local holidays of each town are not on it. The school holidays from each community's calendar for 2026-2027.
Mexico: The days of rest of the Federal Labour Law (article 74), election day included, and the SEP's school calendar for 2026-2027: the winter, Easter and summer breaks, the Consejo Técnico Escolar Fridays and the other days without classes.

Those of the country and region you choose: the United Kingdom (England and Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland), the United States (federal holidays), France (and Alsace-Moselle), Germany by state, Spain by autonomous community and Mexico. The line under the calendar names the source. Holidays of a single town are not included.

Yes, for French zones A, B and C, the 16 German states, Spain's autonomous communities and Mexico (the SEP calendar), from each ministry's published calendar, with the day we read it. A school year that is not published yet is marked as such, never guessed. UK school terms and US school districts are not included: each local authority or district sets its own.

Yes, as an option: ISO week numbers (weeks start on Monday, and week 1 holds the year's first Thursday). The week can also start on Sunday, as US calendars do.
