The 7 times table looks the hardest, but most of it is already known from the other tables: 7 × 2 = 14, 7 × 3 = 21, 7 × 4 = 28, 7 × 5 = 35 and 7 × 6 = 42 are the same facts as 2 × 7 to 6 × 7. That leaves 7 × 7 = 49, 7 × 8 = 56 and 7 × 9 = 63, then 7 × 11 = 77 and 7 × 12 = 84. For 7 × 8, say 5, 6, 7, 8: 56 = 7 × 8.
Each multiplication fact gives a division fact: 7 × 6 = 42, so 42 ÷ 7 = 6.
